empowerment: Zimbabwe strides towards finality

I assume you have all heard of the
runners’ block, a state where you just cannot bring yourself to keep running,
that lack of will to keep running. That is quite common among marathon runners
where you have a mental block; that brick wall which mentally prevents you from
pushing forwards. This normally happens at the final push, just as you begin to
see the finish line. One easy fix for runners’ block is to quit and wait for
the trolley to take you to the finish line. We have all been there staring at that
blank brick wall. A molehill transformed into what seems like an unconquerable
mountain by one thing and one thing only; that is us and no one else. It is
only us who are the seeders and sole fuel source of the blocks we experience,
as blocks are usually an indication that we are being distracted by external
random noises to take our focus off of what we want and place that focus firmly
and falsely on what we don’t want. The random distractions which deliberately
put spanners in the works, that doubt and dent on the belief. It is that voice
that deviously tells you to give up on a complex concept at that crucial climax
when you are just about to grasp it. Zimbabwe is pursuing very noble and authentic
people orientated policies with that bonafide raison d’être to a new social foundation
and economic essence. The proven remedy for runners’ block is to keep running
and break through that brick barrier. The Zimbabwe economic empowerment and
indigenisation drive can only be stepped up and stamped with that proud and
patriotic seal of finality. The only way for this great country is absolutely
and irreversibly up.
At a time when the external and internal
offensive against Zimbabwe’s empowerment and people orientated policies has been
escalating, Julius Malema at the recent launch of his political party Economic
Freedom Fighters (EFF) used the example of Zimbabwe as part of his foundational
base and he had this to say "You are
aiming at undermining the African revolution
by attacking Zimbabwe. In the next 20 years or so Zimbabwe will be the only
country where Africans own their land if we carry on like this'. As Zimbabwe
marches with conclusive resolve towards total economic emancipation the
negativity and pessimism about Zimbabwe’s indigenisation, empowerment and land
reform have been intensified and broadened. The majority of these carefully
crafted reports and statements about Zimbabwe’s indigenisation and empowerment
laws are specifically meant in a roundabout and calculating way to deliberately
compromise this noble and righteous journey. This is the Zimbabwean journey
towards total economic emancipation that is slowly but surely witnessing the
new economically empowered Zimbabwe taking shape.
The current assault on the Zimbabwe economic empowerment
policies is consciously and calculatingly crafted to induce the ‘runners’ block’,
that state where you just want to give up. The emotions of despair and being downtrodden
must never be allowed to settled or become entrenched and distract Zimbabwe
from her rightful quest for economic independence and dignity. The gloom-ridden
despondent depiction that is being purposefully portrayed about Zimbabwe’s push
must never be allowed to extinguish this ethical and morally justified resolve
to empower the historically and perpetually economically disadvantaged masses
who have endured centuries of forced indentured servitude. Now is not the time
to accept the runners’ block as part of our deoxyribonucleic acid. Now is not
the time to allow despair and despondency to define or derail this bona fide reconstruction
and legitimate trajectory.
Africa must permanently disconnect itself from the
historical construct of survival to the enduring and radical reality of living.
Africans have a just cause and a founded right to living as opposed to the
perennial problematic quest for survival that the continent has forever been wantonly
relegated to. Zimbabwe is on a continent-defining journey never witnessed in
the cradle of mankind and will take something extraordinary to surpass.
President Mugabe and his team have been rising above the questionable and
morally-suspect denigration and cynical condemnation aimed at derailing the
Zimbabwean endearing and enduring economic expedition. The bleak predictions
and warnings of a gloomy future should Zimbabwe continue to pursue its
indigenisation and empowerment laws are just a red herring fallacy to the
impending equal economic establishment. Zimbabwe is on an arduous and justified
journey, an unflinching and faithful paradigm towards unfastening herself from an
unforgiving, unrepentant and exploitative system which has nothing to offer
Africa other than poverty and more poverty in the guise of protecting and promoting
false ideas of good governance, civil liberties and democracy. Africa is alone
in this defining journey towards economic emancipation and no selfless,
self-denying and totally altruistic knight in shining amour is going to descend
from some alien outer space zone to unlock this economic bondage that eternally
continue to plague the continent and its beautiful children.
As Zimbabwe’s economic empowerment drive strides towards
finality, the whole country needs to garb itself with thick, random-noise-repellent
and patriotic garb to see this journey through to its ultimate conclusion.
President Mugabe and his team have set the tone of the tune and it is up to all
citizens of Zimbabwe to continue to collectively sing this beautiful tune and
the rest of Africa will follow and pursue similar noble policies with joint
traction.
